Sarah Bascom is the president of Bascom Communications Group.

As a noted political communications expert with more than 20 years of experience, Bascom has advised many of the state’s largest corporations, trade associations and highest-ranking elected officials on crisis management, strategic messaging, media management and public affairs campaigns.

Bascom’s successful tenure in the political communications and the public affairs arena in Florida stems from her on-the-ground experience and training, working on high-profile issues, serving as spokesperson for numerous coalitions, elected officials and companies all across Florida, and her daily interaction with the Capitol Press Corps and media outlets across the state, as well as frequent interaction with national media.

Bascom has served as a member of the communications teams for several noted Florida companies and trade associations, including ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, Associated Industries of Florida, AT&T, The Everglades Foundation, The Everglades Trust, Florida Association of Health Plans, and the American Resort Development Association, among others.

Currently, Bascom serves as lead outside political communications advisor to Speaker Daniel Perez, having most recently served as lead strategic communications advisor to House Majority and then Speaker-designate Daniel Perez during the 2024 campaign cycle. Over the years, Bascom has served as a strategic communication advisor to former House Speakers, Chris Sprowls and Richard Corcoran, as well as former Senate Presidents Bill Galvano, Joe Negron, Ken Pruitt, and the late Jim King.

Lyndsey Brzozowski is an executive vice president at Bascom Communications Group.

Rudd executes external communications strategies on behalf of BCG’s clients, crafting content, pitching stories, and tracking and analyzing media coverage, among other activities. Rudd also provides communications support for BCG by assisting its leadership team on various client, company and administrative projects from start to finish.

While at BCG, Rudd has gained notable experience in Florida’s political landscape. She contributed to successful congressional campaigns, including the reelection campaign of Congresswoman Laurel Lee during the 2024 election cycle and the first victorious runs of Congresswoman Lee and Congressman Aaron Bean in 2022. During the 2023 and 2024 Florida Legislative Sessions, she was responsible for tracking legislation and helped BCG develop communications products tailored to meet the legislative goals of BCG’s clients. Additionally, Rudd spearheads the firm’s internship program.

Rudd joined the BCG team while completing her master’s at Florida State University (FSU). During this time, she gained experience in developing media reports and aggregating and monitoring news and social media. After her graduation in 2022, Rudd transitioned from an intern to a full-time team member for BCG.
